ok so i got a dent in my oil pan and am leaking oil would it be better to go to a junk yard and get one or would it be good to get one at like autozone or something and what kind of gasket should i get is there a set that i can get thanks
you can check the junkyards, as long as it's not dented it should be fine.
I'm not sure about AutoZone though, do they even carry parts like that?
You could look on eBay. I know I've seen some on there, just make sure you buy from a reputable seller.
As for the gasket, you just need the oil pan gasket, thats it. I think they are something like $15 at AutoZone and maybe $25 at the dealer, can't remember exactly. I prefer the OEM gasket though even though it's a little more. It sits on the oil pan much nicer and was much easier to install, the FelPro (from AutoZone) was all folded up and was a pain to keep straight and on the pan when installing. A friend and I noticed this when replacing his oil pan gasket a couple times, first with the FelPro and then with the OEM.
