Light and cost effective rims
What is going to be a good choice for rims, that are gonna save me some weight and rotating mass, yet not kill my savings account. I have been browsing ebay for awhile now, but what is a decent weight for a 16in rim? 17in? Will I hurt my performance drastically by going to a 17in verse a 16? What is a good cost efficient tire choice? Kumhos? I have heard Kumhos are junk. Thanks for your help.
Check out tirerack.com. Many of the "Sport Editon" brand rims are light weight and relatively cheap. My 15's were 16.5lbs (stock were 18.5lbs). For tires, Falken Ziex 512's are cheap and handle pretty well

rotas slips are cheap and wont kill you in the bank account. the best handling tires for summer would have to be either hankook rs2 or the falken rt615 205/40/16 got for 94 bucks each and the hankooks are 92 bucks each.

It will hurt performance, since not only are they heavier, but most of the weight is located farther from the centre of rotation, hence increasing rotational inertia (slower acceleration, slower breaking). That said, I am not sure whether you would notice this, it depends on your driving ability and what you plan to use the car for.
Another thing to consider, is that when having bigger tires, you most likely will have tires with a lower sidewall, and perhaps wider contact area. This will increase your grip.
Most people chose 16's as a good size for sporty driving, where as the 17's are more for street and show.

4 lug ITr wheels. They are cheap, I bought a set for 500 with tires. and they weigh nothing

i would have to say slipstreams as well...but it is hard to pull them off on a prelude. they look better on civics because of the smaller wheel wells.
These will expletive up your bank account real good.
Volk CE28N's and bronze or silver depending on car color.
the 16" are 11lbs without tires. I found a used set some years ago for $1600 with brand new parada spec 2's.
New they are $400 per wheel. ( tires not included )
Id go for the rota's if price is really important. at 70 somethin dollars a wheel, you can curb the **** out of one and not really crap your pants.

i got some rays gram LIGHTS in 16 but theyre 5x114. if ur interested im selling mine. which i love but im trying to sell the car.therefore dont need the wheels.
