90 Prelude idling problem
I have a 90 Prelude 2.0 SI fuel injected. It has 2 problems at the moment:
1st and foremost, there is no power to the fuel pump. Fuse is good. Car has been sitting for a long time, always started on 1st crank. Thought the pump failed, but it spins when voltage is applied. Can I just run another ignition switched wire from the fusebox
to the pump? Is there anything between the ignition and the fuel pump, like a fusable link, relay, other fuse, etc?
2nd, when it idles, it cycles from 500 to 2500 RPM every few seconds. Has done this for a long time, and many attempts to fix it have not resolved it. Any guidance on what to look for next on the idling problem would be appreciated.
Thx!
