a/c went out

a/c went out
sup fellas i got a rsx type s...2002...with 57k miles on it
today i was drivin and the a/c didnt work for some reason...it worked this morning but hwen i got off around 6 it didnt work anymore...
i poped the hood i hear a clickin or ratterin noise when the a/c is cut on....does that mean the compressor is messed up? if so where can i get one for cheap and ASAP i was suppose to sale the car tomorrow!!!!
any replys would be useful

i recently had this problem too, it is the compressor unfortunately another down side about it is that it costs around 400-500 depending on who and where you buy it from, hopefully you can get it hooked up somewhere, but that's how much i had to pay for mine
