Ok, i sold my friend a 92 accord 5 speed, when hes driving and the rpms get up to like 5 k the needle starts jumping like back and fourth, but the car dosnt do anything
at first i thought it may be a malfunctioning tach, but we hooked up a aftermarket tach to the blue wire on the coil and the tach does the same thing
So im thinking it could be a bad coil? or distributor??
OR possibly a speed sensor??
What could it be?

that is a common sign that the Coil is shorting and ready to DIE
Never sell a car to a friend or relative; you'll have to live with the car for the rest of your life LMAO

They both have coils; the 90-91 has the coil under the dist. cap where it overheats alot and shorts out; Honda changed to an external coil in 92-93 to keep people happy, and the coil cooler
