Default im lookingto buying rims and tires< will this help...

i have a 1995 civic DX, i have the stock wheel son now, 175/70/R13.
im looking to buy a 17 inch rim with tires 205/40/17. will they fit good with stock ride hight? also would i get better or worse gas mileage. the reason i would think better is cause im traveling a little further per tire rotation since its bigger. or am i going to loost gasmileage cause they are heavier??

Don't get 17 either way... 16 or 15

You're not going to get better gas milage. And if you do it will not be correct because your speedo is thrown off. Plus 17's look horrid on civic's.

Dont get 17, and DONT get Toyo Tires because if your car is lowered, Toyo tires tend to wear down real easy on the inside. I had 205/40/17's on my civic with 17" wheels and got less than 12,000 miles on them. Toyo tires are softer tires than most.

If you like the wheels you purchased, then forget what everyone else says. It's your car so do what you like. With 15" rims you won't lose any gas mileage at all. If anything it should still be pretty much the same (give or take). Not entirely sure so I could be wrong.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Hilarious!

It isnt the tires man..its your dumped *** car with horrible camber. And saying "Toyos" are softer than others makes no sense as there are many models of Toyo Tires. What ones are you referring to?

Kids.

Thats not a bad price at all man, and the wheels look ufckin killer. They remind me of Konig Holes.

you COULD have gotten them cheaper..but they wouldnt be new, and the tires would be ready for a change. So all in all, YES you got a good deal.

Enjoy them man, and post pics when you get them on. And they'll look MUCH better without being lowered rather than 17's that will make your car look like a 4x4.

expletive em. If you like 17's on your Civic, get 17's. It's YOUR car, not thiers. 17's - not my cup of tea - but I sure as hell don't care if you rock 'em. Just don't post a thread with a picture of them on your car in two weeks asking opinions if you're going to get all sandy-vag when we tell you the truth

FYI yes 17s will be affected with your ride height but only when turning around a turn at a higher speed. Or when you have the wheels cocked all the way to one side the tire will rub on the inside of your wheel well causing premature wear on the tire and pulling off the paint on the inside of your wheel well causing it to start to rust take their advice go with a 15 or 16" rim with a higher performance tire it will fit perfectly on your EG and look alot cleaner let alone cost less for replacing tires and wont be rubbing the inner wheel wells

BUt it is your car so have fun with what ever rice **** you wanna do heck if you get 17s i advise you to go to wal-mart and pick up the largest most epspensive wing than go to advanced auto and buy their largest and most obnocious fart can put them on and pretend your a pro drag/street racer????

because you know all three of those add at least 500 hp a peice

Nice man...I love those wheels. So I guess you decided against 17's? Good man!

So what kind/size are the tires? A mild drop and your car will look ****** dope. Congrats on the new wheels.

EDIT: I see above you said you ordered 15's so you obviously decided against 17's a while ago. And I dont know if anyone answered you..but your gas milage wont go down anything noticible.

Definetly a nice ****** SRT.

And dont worry about the rotors...they always rust. I'd paint the rear drums and front calipers black..but thats about it.

Plans to lower the Civic in the future?

what coler would look better for the drums with my rims. silver caliber paint or regular black spraypaint??
