89 Prelude been sitting in driveway for a year
Hey guys,
My friend has been looking for a car, but she has had no luck as she has little/no money heheh. She's 21 and a full time college student so she really needs one. She came across a neighbor that has an 89 Prelude that they haven't driven for a year and are offering to give it to her for free just to get it off of their hands. My question is, what should she look be careful about knowing that the car hasn't been started for a year... Oil settling, Dead Battery? She's taking the car regardless but I am going to meet her at the house to get the car in safe driving condition. What needs to be done to a car that hasnt been run in that long?

The battery is likely flat to begin with. Try and charge it, but otherwise replace it. Check tires, brake fluid level, spark plug and wire condition, and oil level. If you get it going, go change the oil
