Default converting an obd2a car to obd1

i have a 97hatch i want to convert completely to obd1. my new motor is obd1, i have the engine harness, and an obd1 ecu. what else do i need?

but dont i need 2? one to plug from the engine harness to the firewall wires, and one from the firewall clips to the ecu?

Unfortunately, your car is one harness that goes through the firewall from the engine. You will need to reuse your OBD2 harness, but use a jumper harness to run the OBD1 ECU.

the engine is obd1. my obd2a harness wont work.

ugh, im getting frustrated, can i please get another confirm that i can just run my obd1 harness through the firewall straight to the ECU?
