k4Gixxer 1000 Swap into a k4600.

Pretty crazy stuff...considering everthing is bolt up (can use the stock tach and stock headlight harness from the 600) aside from the front two motor mounts that sit off the frame...and thats nothing to have moved and re-welded.
I was going to go to a 750 motor in about 2 months but now i'm thinking of waiting the extra month to do the 1k swap.
The color and frame aren't my taste...but damn thats such a sleeper.

I know a guy with a 432 rwhp street ridden 2006 gixxer 1000 and he's only got a 9"-11" adjustable arm, its all about SUSPENSION.

Give or take 40-60 lbs.
Depending on if your talking an 03-04 1k, or if your talking 05-06 1k....
Nonetheless....a 600 with a 1k heart will romp any 1k with matching mods.

Really?>
Got any more info on this or what?
Did he put any major power to it? Or is this leaving it relatively stock? Riding hard? Proper maintenance?
I've just never heard of a problem like that....would like a lil' more info.

No the bike had a yosh full system, PCIII w/ ignition. and a very good tune. No major power adders though. Do a search on gsxr.com I'm sure you should come up w/ somthing. When he finally got rid of the bike, the dealer told them this was about the 5th 03~04 GSXR 1k to come in with those problems, all started having the probalems around 15k miles. He's a maintnence freak so it definatly wasn't that. On his 05 GSXR 1000 he has about 22,000 miles on it and about the past 8~9k have been done on a 75shot NOS system. Bike actully runs better then the day he bought it.
