Default Right Rear Wheel Heating up!!!

Like the title says the right rear has been getting really hot.. it is possible that my calipers have locked. when i release the Ebrake the car does roll freely. can this hear casue some "worpage" or damage to my rim, TRE, linkage, ect. the pads are new i have no idea what could be causing this, any ideas.

check your brake caliper, I remember my wheel getting hot because my piston was frozen in the caliper...

I just put a new one of those in there. you think it may be defective. change them with suspension upgrade.

You might just need to clean the pistons on the caliper of old grease and reapply some new one. Its the first thing to try if one seems stuck and its not expensive

i don't hear anything out of the ordinary when i drive that is why its hard for me to figure out what it is, i'm still at work right now.. i'll be gettin out in about 15 minutes, then i'll jack it up and give it a spin to see if the pistons on the caliper are the problem. i'll keep you guys posted

Yea most likely it's a frozen caliper...I went through 3 lately.

After driving around, go back there and notice if there's any brake pad stench.

90% it's a sticky caliper or e-brake release. Could also be a wheel bearing. You can probably lube or rebuild it as needed

Do you see see excessive brake dust? That's a pretty sure sign it's a brake issue.

To make sure it's not a bearing, jack up the rear and check for any play in the wheel by grabbing it top and bottom and shaking it, same side to side, to see if the bearing has play. If it does, re-torque the axle/hub nut but that may not help.
