because it is made by harley. and we all know that you buy harley parts next to the mower parts.
harley davidson and sportbikes are not good bed partners.

I actually think that's not entirely correct. To my knowledge, the company was created by Erik Buell, and H-D bought him out at some point.

Erik was an ex Harley engineer when he started the company and then Harley bought it out in 1998.

Hey guys, I appreciate all of the views. If you know of anyone or have any questions about these bikes, please either pm me or call me toll free. I'm selling these for my best friend who's going through some rough times right now and I'm sure he'll work with you on the price. I've got the bikes at my house and have worked on and ridden both of them and they run great, handle great, and still smell new when you fire them up. Both have new brakes, tires and drive belts, with all maintenance updated as well.

There's some info on the company. The reason i don't like Buells is because they are owned and manufactured by harley, so despite some cool engineering on thier models, they're still harley's. The build quality seems shoddy to me, and all the bikes have a really long stroke, with a smaller bore (this is compared to other 1000cc sport vtwins). What this says to me is that they're lazy. They take all the time to make the frame the fuel tank, put the airbox where the tank would be, make a cool front brake, and quite a few other things, then they just throw in a air/oil cooled harley motor and call it a day. If they wanted to be more competitive they'd wake up and start building modern day motors, not reusing the same crap harley's been cranking out for years.
