To those with aftermarket Radios...
To those with aftermarket radios, have you succeeded to get the deck to sit flush with the dash? I've tried the metra kit, but I dont like the fact how the face sticks out. I've tried just shoving the deck in there with the stock pocket, but it keeps sliding out. Have anyone done anything custom to get the deck to fit flush with the rest of the dash?

Yeah, I ditched the Metra dash kit awhile back. I ghetto rigged mine (it's amazing what a little electrical tape and a little creativity can do 
) Although it's not as sturdy as it would be with a kit, it does look a lot better. Still not as flush as I would like, but enough that a tall cup can fit in the cup holder without hitting the radio. I'll try to send you some pics later.

That Metra kit sucks. I had it in for a little while, but when I tried this it worked a hell of a lot better.
