Default E-brake

forgive me for this stupid noob question...

ok i was parked in a lot that had a lil bit of an incline(like those you see for the disabled ramps) and i had my ebrake up 4 clicks and on 1st gear...as i left my car it started rolling back...so i checked my ebrake and my gear, apparently it popped out of 1st gear and im guessing the ebrake just started to slowly slide or give out...

so here are my questions...is possible for my 1st gear to pop out of gear and if it does is it that bad? and since my ebrake it slowly giving, how do you diy to tighten the handle?(i like having to just pull my ebrake like 2-3 clicks, i dont like having to pull the ebrake alot)

I dont think 4 cLicks r enough to hoLd a sLope, and if ur car roLLed back and ur 1st gear wasn't in aLL the way, once in motion it wiLL pop the gear outta pLace, its usuaLLy kinda hard for me to downshift from 2nd to 1st whiLe doing speed bumps, I have to be very genteL so I dont grind my gear, u know how u reverse gear Locks sometimes and onLy Let u go haLf way, then u have to **** to 1 and 2 then try it again...that's proLLy wat happened in ur case

sounds like you didn't have the ebrake engaged all the way.

Pull the handle further. If it's adjusted per the manual, it'll be fully set after 7 or 8 clicks. But, still, just yank it 'till it stops.
