You know, sometimes, sorry just isn't enough.

Just change your damn oil already. Use the kind that says "motor" on the side, not "vegetable", and you'll be golden.

'cause that be Leet yo.

Anyway, I did my first one just around 2500. I wouldn't wait till 5000 w/ the breakin oil in there. Just make sure you drove the car around for a bit and broke in the engine. Stick with the OEM oil as well.

If you want the best, do what the lady says. It's what I'm using. I don't like Q motor oil personally. Basically, if you're not rolling around town with a tweaked out engine all the time and hit up some races on the weekend, the oem oil is more than enough for you.

If you don't know any better, then stick with the owners manual.

Royal Purple is OK....i need to switch to something else

according to a recent oil analysis, they tend to chunk up after awhile......mobil-1 seems to burn up on me too

never heard of RP chunking, but yes, M1 does burn fast, I was always topping mine off when I used it.

i change mine just about every 1000-1500 miles. but on that note i am **** about my car. i happen to be a mechanic at a Honda dealer her in Fla. and we as well as every other dealer around the area use Castrol Syntech 5w30. they recommend oil changes at 5k mile intervals, but i beleive in keeping the oil in my car fresh at all times. especially when it's free!!!! lol

The Royal Purple stuff expletive-ing magic. A few months ago I switch to Mobil 1 and it juist made me feel better. About 2 weeks ago, I actually read through the stuff in the Royal Purple brochure and I was sold on it. I think it's safe to say that it's the best non-OEM oil the available commercially.

PLUS EVEN THOUGH IT'S LIKE $8 A QUART, YOU ONLY CHANGE THE OIL EVERY 12,000 MILES. Ask Royal Purple if you don't believe me.
