Default If i sell one of my cars this week...

i picked up a 97 civic cx hatchback last weekend for $500 from an old friend. it has quarter damage on both sides and no carpet, and the tranny is shot to hell (literally has a hole in it). i picked up a new tranny for $100, and i'll be getting the carpet for $45. so with a total of $645 into the car, i have an offer from someone locally for $2500 already. thats without it even running. so im gonna swap the tranny either tonight or tomorrow and get it going and sell it of so i can buy............................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .............................. MY TURBO KIT! hells yea, i bought the second car to keep miles off of the civic, but i decided that i would rather have a whole lot of fun with the SI and enjoy walking on just about anything that comes up next to me much more than saving a few miles. cuz last night i was pissed cuz i went up against an 06 rsx-s with injen CAI, skunk2 exhaust, torque dampeners, and a short shifter, and i walked him 1st and 2nd gear, then as soon as he hit third he just took off on me. i dont like that. i dont care if it is a 13hp difference, thats enough to **** me off. so now i will have to one up him and go boost. so i'll go ahead and order the turbo kit and have it sitting at the house for a little while so i can get everything else needed. it comes with greddy ultimate emanage, but i would rather go with k-pro. also need strut braces, short shifter, lowering springs, lighter rims with slicks/semi-slicks, dont think the kit comes wiht a BOV, also upgrade the clutch, get a boost conroller, and hopefully i will need a helmet when i go to the track so im hoping to get everything on its way and have it ready to be installed here in the next 6-8 weeks depending on if the guy comes through and buys the hatch. i'll definitely be posting pics as stuff comes in and vids when it is installed. so if all goes well, i'll be boosted again in no time.

My car is approaching 9k... *sigh* 50 mile round trip to work.

As for the boosting, there will be better man, you ought to hold off. Also, I don't think theres going to be a K-Pro for this car is there? Not sure?

Wow, that's cool that you can turn $650 into $2500.

I think that you should just tune your car more, and not be worried about losing to him. I do not think you need a turbo to beat him, just a little more work done to your car. I think the Hondata reflash, IMG and the headers. Maybe lowering your car an inch to an inch and a half would help. I noticed you already had some of this in your future mods. Anyways, these few things could potentially make it a different race.

Just an opinion, but I think you should hold off on boosting. The car is still really new. I think you will start to cause problems in your car that are not currently there.

There is no K-pro for the new Si. Just the reflash.

i have once again changed my mind. i will not be boosting it just yet. im going to wait for the comptech header, do the IM gasket, and drop it. i'll get the reflash and ss and hold off for a little while and see if some other kits come out. in the mean time, i'll probably hang on to the hatch so i can drive it to school since my parking pass is not coming in and i have to park in the general parking lots where peoples cars get broken into and dinged up all the time. so i'll hold off for a few months and see how things go. i just miss boost. plain and simple. i love the sound of a BOV and the feeling of being pushed into ur seat running at 10lbs

I think that is a good decision. you will actually save money by not buying the turbo. Letting your emotions play with you too much. Take it slow and build the car up right. Pretty soon, the RSX will not be an issue.

I am waiting for the Comptech header too. I just ordered the Comptech SS, but I think it is on backorder. Ordered from Showstroppers. I remember you had an issue with them before, but man they still have the best pricing. Corsportusa.com is a close second with pricing and they have additional performance parts.

Sucks where you are left parking.
