what size for my fat fives
currently i picked up some gsr fat fives with cheap *** tires which are 195-60-15 freaking tall for my crx. anyway these tires are shot and im going to lower my crx using H&R racing spring i dont want to rub but im looking for a good size tire with some good grip for everyday driving and something for the strip every once in a while.
so 195-50-15 or 205-50-15
so 195-50-15 or 205-50-15
195/50-15 is the best size for your CRX.
In that size, you can get the Kumho Ecsta SPT, if you want great "bang for the buck". It offers very good dry traction, excellent wet traction, and long treadlife (30-40K miles). Bargain priced at $51/tire at the Tire Rack, and even better, you can get a $40 rebate from Kumho. So that's $41 per tire. You can't get a better tire for anywhere near that price.
If you want better performance than the SPT, you can spend more and get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. Excellent dry traction, wet traction, and treadlife. $91/tire, and Goodyear also has a $40 rebate which expires this coming Saturday.
For the best dry traction of all, the Falken Azenis RT-615 will be available in 195/50-15 starting in November. But they don't last all that long (10-12K miles), and you would have to wait till November for them.
