Default No crank, no start

I just got done swapping my b16a (sir2) into my eg hatch. with the key on, engine off the cel is solid, not flashing. when i go to crank it to start it, i hear a popping noise and all guages/lights shut off, and it wont crank, or make any sound. i let it wait for a few mineuts, and then i put it back in the on position and the guages are lit p again, and the CEL is still solid, i go to start it and it does the same thing. dose anyone have any idea?

ok, i fixed the ground wire from the front of the valve cover, it is now cranking, but not starting. there is no spark coming from the plug wires/cap. i checked the voltage at the 2 pin connector with the Key on enigne off, and there is a full 12.6 volts... is the coil shot? dose anyone have a link to testing the coil inside the distributor? Thanks alot for the help buy the way guys. and girls
