Default exhaust problems

So here is the deal, I have a 4th gen with an h22 and dc header (NOT the one w/ 2.5" collector) and apexi world sport exhaust except the flange thta bolts to the cat was cut off and I need a new one. the problem is, I don't think that the triangel flanges for different diameter piping holes will line up. I have a stock catalytic converter, but if I weld a flange to teh world sport to fit that, once I get a hi-flow cat I will get 2.5" and don't think the flange bolt holes will line up correctly. is my best bet to just buy the new cat, weld on a 2.5" 3 bolt flange to the world, sport cut off the flange from the header and expand that to 2.5" and weld on another 2.5" 3 bolt flange there. I don't wnat to modify the collector if it's going to cost me a bunch because i'd just probably save for a new header w/ a 2.5' collector already.. I just want to get my car driveable for now with eth stock cat and have wore work done over winter. like new high flow cat and maybe collector mod...
