Default Brake pads? Searched

I've been looking at new brake pads and want to see if anyone has experience..?

I'm looking at;

Hawk HPS
Hawk HP Plus
Hawk Ferro
AEM
EBC Green
EBC Red
& Possibly (but not likely) Axxis

I'm looking for the best possible street performance at a reasonable (140 or less for all) price. I don't want hardcore race pads, but as close as I can get without lots of noise, dust, and wear.

Any experience with these pads?

You should seriously consider Axxis Ults. Why are they not likely? I've used them on my car for street and track for almost a year, and they work great for both. They're also way cheaper than Hawks. They're just dusty as f'ck.

EBC is the one I have repeatedly heard to stay away from.

Well, I'm not too stoked about the fact that they make a whole lot of dust.

Besides, aren't they metal comp?

I've been thrilled with my AEM brake pads. Virtually no dust, perfect because they're made by nissin just like the oem stuff. I just changed to my second set because it had been 30 thousand miles. The old pads have a ton of meat still left on them, probably another 15 thousand or more miles on them.

out of those, i've use hawk hps, ebc green, axxis ultimates (currently on these)

and out of all of them, daily driving you won't know the difference.

they all dust like crazy. some say the axxis are better but they still turn my bronze rims black after a few weeks.

x2. I've got the EBC Red and they're great. Do you have S/SI or VTEC calipers? I've got an extra set of new S/SI fit Red's that I don't need. Last I knew, they retailed for $100. I'd take $50 shipped

Out of the group I was actually looking at the EBC reds (I have an Si) so if I end up getting em I'll shoot you a PM.

I found a Wilwood BB kit for $350.. 13" rotors and 4-piston calipers. That's a damn good deal, I just don't know if I want to throw down that kind of money yet.

From what I've seen, that's an amazing deal. The SSBC 13" kit goes for $1100

The Metal Masters are metallic, I'm not sure about the Ultimates.

I like the Axxis pads a lot. I use the Deluxe, good bite, no dust. The Ultimates tend to be more dusty.

Well it's used lol but in good condition. If I was going with some big power it would totally be worth it but I dunno.
