4th Gen A/C Concerns.....
My a/c was converted to R134a and I just recharged the system. It takes FOR EVER to cool off car.....especially when hot inside. My newer model Accord doesn't take as long.....just curious if this is normal or maybe the compressor needs to be replaced......any info would be GREAT.
That is typical of converted systems, the condensor is not quite enough, and the expansion valve is for a larger molecule freon.
This might help; run the fan on high speed fresh air for the first few minutes, this flushes all the hot air from the dash; then change to a low fan speed and 'recirc' to give the evap a better chance to cool the air flow.

This is not typical of a converted system. I have converted many cars including several 4th gen . While it also seems to me that it will not cool down as fast as R12 on the really hot days, it should not take forever. Overcharging is the single biggest mistake of conversion. Next in line is failure to replace the dryer.
