engine wont start

Default engine wont start

alright. i gt a d16z6 ehad and d16a block. d16z6 dizzy. i recently was driving. shifted to second and the car bogged out and died. hasnt startedsince. we tried alot of different thing. and i recently got +2bosch and bosch premium wires. there seems to be oil leaking through my dizzy cuz its ending up in my cap. the engine cranks and everything. and everynow adn hen it sounds like it wants to start. like it does the rumble but then it goes back to cranking. its like 2 cyls arent werking or sumthn. coul it be my fuel injectors or my ecm ormy coil? orwhaever. please help

if u see oil leakage going through ur distributor ur coil might be bathed with oil thus causing no spark...might wanna check the o the ring and replace it if its bad...then buy a new coil and ur done...

alright well i still have to get the o-ring but i pulled the cap off and wiped and it started. it was really crappy sounding tho. like a motor cycle with backfire... but it was runnin so im like expletive it. i need to know if it could be sumthing else

before the car wouldn't start...now that u cleaned the coil the car produces sparks and starts...there is a thread that u have to look for it's about how to know if it's the o-ring or not with detailed pictures...
ask moderators for help im a newbie =D

Have you replaced the timing belt recently? If not and the old belt is deteriorating, it may have slipped a tooth on the cam gear or streatched, and that will prevent the car from turning over. Also, has the dizzy moved at all? Had a 90 civic notchback that did that and it took a while to figure out that the timing had changed because it was subtle. Make sure your rotor is still firmly installed on the dizzy shaft.
