Here's the same question as on the title..

Does anyone know if they make a Double Din size cover to "hide" and cover your screen from peeping tom's and also to protect it from sun?

 

None that I have seen, but I have used a few DD dummy plates, even a few OEM DD HU faces as "dummy" covers, just helped a guy install an Alpine IVA-D100 into a Legend that had a DD Bose HU that was hooped, we pealed the front off the Bose ground the back of it, glued some of the loose ***** on, mounted the Alpine back a 1/4" so he could just set the Bose face in front of the Alpine, looks dead stock. 94

I think thats too much just to use as a cover while you're not in the car, I just cut a piece of sheet metal and painted it black, works fine.

 

And of course, the price comes from the CF.

I was thinking of creating a cover that fallows the curves of the vertical and horzontal indention's of the DA center console. Where it goes over the shifter, and up right below the AC controls. Know what i'm saying? if not, i'll post a picture.

thats a double din block off plate...it wont fit unless you push the DD deck or screen in more to accomodate the mounting depth of the blockoff plate....you get what im saying?

they also make a NON-CARBON FIBER one..so if you would like to use that one i think i saw it go for around $20?? maybe a little more? i dont remember.

but, like i said..i think the OP wanted something that he can place on top of the screen to make it look stealthy, instead of modding the DD deck to sit inside the cage more in order for the DD blockoff plate to work.
