If you don't have an aftermarket or custom brake setup, it's not worth announcing to the public. If you were using DC5-R Brembo's, you could paint them pink, and I'd still say it's fine.
my pet peeve is people who paint there drums any colour other than black.
I myself painted my drums and calipers black just for a clean effect, i hate the rusty/ugly colour they were.
DC5-R Brembo's are pure sex, just buy those.

You know, I never really thought about it, but you guys have given me a good idea. When I get my stainless steel lines, ima paint my calipers hot pink!!!

Seriously though I am going to pain them black, make them look better than stock. That **** looking brown isn't cutting it any more.

to tell u the turth i just cleaned them really good but down a primer and painted them with that high temp spray paint if u want them really nice u could sand them down i suppose but even if u look at a caliper paint kit they dont say anything about sanding them down and put tape down that helps
Can you get it in a brush on, to keep overspray off the pistons?
Or if not, what do you do? Just tape it up and hope it doesnt get on the pistons themselves or moving parts in general?

I had my calipers off as it was, so I just taped over the pistons. I know that some people just leave the pads on and paint away.

Wouldn't that cause braking issues if it were to get on the pad surface? Im assuming it would just wear away after a few hard stops.

If you use a piece of cardboard or some other hardstock to prevent the paint from hitting your rotors, you could essentially just paint the calipers whilst they're still on your car.

If you've got crappy pads, this is ok. But, I would never do this with some nice pads. It leaves a paint residue (especially if the paint is oil based) that doesn't dissipate, but soaks into the pad a little bit.
