Don't worry about it, you wont get that high on the track or dragstrip anyways.

Why would you need to get up that high on the streets anyways? So you can kill yourself, everybody in the car with you, and whatever you hit? Doesnt make sense enough to me to want to find out how hig it will go unless you're on the 3 mile long straight at the Nurburgring. No sense in that.

Keep it on the track and away from me, my family, and everyone else that values their own lives.

Going that fast on a public street, he needs to kill himself so he does not kill anyone else. You ae the type of people that drive insurance rates out the roof, and makes cops look at our cars as speed machines that have drivers that want to speed.

Why do you think people buy these civic's with si badges so we can speed in them thats the point i am not paying $24,000 for my si to drive it like a volvo. Besides most people who have been driving sport compacts for some time are good drivers with a decent about of skill its the rich 16 year old's that do just plain retarded **** in these cars that make us look bad that's my opinion.

The Si wasn't meant for triple digit speeds. Plain and simple. Just because you can go 100mph+ doesn't mean you should.

I can agree.

Public streets are not for high speed driving. Plain and simple. Crack that sweet VTEC all you want, but keep the high speeds to a track or a dragstrip. Because I don't feel like going to a funeral, then going to court to get everything you own just because you wanna hit VTEC at 130mph. It should not be like that. And just because you arent a 16 year old rich boy, doesnt mean you cannot make a mistake while driving that fast and kill yourself or someone else.

I have a 22 year old kid on my housing unit at work right now that is in prison for 25 years due to the fact that he thought he could drive at a high rate of speed, and everybody would stay out of his way. Too bad a family of 4 in a minivan could not.

KEEP THE HIGH SPEEDS ON THE TRACK, that is why it is there.

No, sir, I like to have fun myself, but at the track where I know I am not putting a person in danger because of my breaking the law by driving on streets that are not designed for high speeds. When you F up your life because you decide you want to go fast, Ill see you when you get to prison for voluntary manslaughter.

What amazes me is the ignorance of people

Most new cars can hit triple digit speeds with ease and safety ---- many roads around the world have cars traveling 120-160+mph safely

The only reason why people here think 65 is so fast is because people dont take driving seriously and cause accidents

I worry more about a Cell phone weilding soccer mom driving her SUV at 70mph in traffic than a 25yr old drag racer doing 120 on a lonely highway

Good god --- have you seen the stock tires on an Si --- 130mph is plenty safe on them and the car's chassis is mor than capable of handling those speeds

"O my god he hit 100 he is gonna wipe out any minute!" --- Ridiculous

Its not a shitbox --- its an Si

As far as going fast in traffic ---- most people (especially in Cali) dont adhere to the left passing lane theory and decide to do 70 in the lane no matter how many people are behind them, they dont use their mirrors and dont signal

If you were paying attention and saw a car coming up on you at 100+ youd best move out the way ---- or keep talking on your cell drinking your latte and get smacked

Well, if an idiot wasn't going a buck twenty, and doing the speed limit like he should, then we would not have this discussion. Because, I promise you, it will be alot easier to see that someone was speeding than if somebody was sipping a latte or telling their wife they love her. It simply isnt as easy as "Im doing 125, you are doing 70, so move over." When someone is coming up on you with that much of a speed difference, there isnt much time to react. Ask me how I know.

Don't even bother talking to these morons.

"I drive a $20,000 Racecar, I'm invincible"

I love reading posts made by people with Si's that think they have some rare supercar, it's hilarious. It's been this way since the EM1. Put an Si badge on an under-powered econobox and morons think they drive McLaren F1s

I'll have to agree on that one as well.

Anyone know what the stock tires on the EX are speed rated at? I'm going to guess it's not 120mph.
