rsx 16" or 17" wheels
I got my rsx with 18's on it but I don't like them plus thy're messed up. I was wondering what everyone is running for rim size, I was thinking about 16 or 17's but not sure. Car is daily drive and will be used for drag racing and maybe auto-x. Need some help deciding, thanks

The RSX that I am buying has 17's on it...They are Mugen MF10 replicas...I was thinking about getting rid of them and getting 16's. Let me know if you are interested, and as long as everything goes as planned i'll be selling them.

16's are too small, might as well stick with your stock wheels, and 18's in my opinion are too big. 17's just sit right to me.

Thats why you get both
Get a set of 17 or 18's for show, 16's for business

i went with lightweight forged 1 piece 18 by 8"s +35offset and 225/40 rubber. and the diameter(your main concern) was the same as stock 16 by 7" wheels w/ a standard size tire. the only diff being 1"wider and 4pounds per wheel added. i would guess that a pair of lightweight 18 by 7"s wheels, with low pro rubber, would be close to the same as stock set up (diameter and weight). i know alot of you would say that 18"s to big a wheel and i would have to disagree w/ you on this one. i have noticed no negatives w/ my set up only improvement. however my car is built for street not autox or drag.

Ya, 18s are debatable to a lot of people because they say you feel the road more which can be a bad thing depending on road quality, and that pot holes do some good damage to 18s as well. I don't think there is a rotational timing issue with 18s is there? Friend of mine was off by about 5mph on the odometer because of the larger rims.
Just something else to consider.

My fiancee put 18's on our RSX. I am not a fan of larger wheels, I like it better with 16's or 17's at most, but she drives the car, so whatever. The road feel is substantially increased, and potholes can & will do some damage to the rim....
Any weight further out from the hub will dramatically effect acceleration. So an 18" wheel that is 4lbs heavier than a 16" wheel will not 'appear' to be only 4 lbs to the motor doing to the work--it will be greater.

QFT
I can feel the difference between the 18's & stock 16's, it is very noticible

They were on the car when I bought it and I was told that they were " 17" ADR Model Flight 5's " But when I look them up thats not what they are. So I honestly don't know. If you are interested I can sell you just the rims if you make me a decent offer. They are in flawless condition.
Hahahahahahahahah....
You now whats funny I that AnthonyG2003 is full of SH*T That is my DC5 that he posted pics of I just recently purchased it and put 16" Gold Gram Lights on it. 17's fill the wheelwell a little better but with so little torque the light 16's are a must if your going to be doing any kind of racing without FI.
So the wheels in the pics are for sale if interested. PM me a good price and they are yours.
