This is an interesting project. Any of you seen this before?

Would be pretty neat to take it for a spin.

Notice where all the engine's inlet air comes from? From the passenger compartment! I'd expect when he gives it full throttle his ears pop from the pressure drop...

Give it an adjustable turn down so that it's a brake. "Brake systems" are free.

Oh, don't forget real brakes too.

I'd rather have a JATO-assisted Chevy Impala.

Ahh, but this one is actually real!

I did however see the episode of mythbusters where they tested the JATO-Chevy myth! It was pretty cool!

Yeah, that was one of the points I made when someone was trying to tell me that this is really "street legal" a few weeks ago. Unsafe / unroadworthy vehicle to the max!

DrDisco69 and I saw a Eclipse at the pavilions in Scottsdale that did the same thing. It was interesting that is for sure.

I like his comment about the HOV lane.

Depends on how you measure "displacement" for a jet engine. Hybrids in H1 are limited to 2.4 liters.

hey that scooter was a honda...probably has a better chance in hc than the bug does

I saw a jet powered car at the local drag strip once...it was LOUD...and FAST...and also shot out big *** fire ***** when lining up...not having to worry about any traction problems FTW...until you have to slow down lol.

I doubt it meets sound requrements, and when has it ever been remotely legal to have a huge effing flame out the back of your car??

That cop in the pic must be a retard because with in 30 sec of looking at the california vehicle code I found

27153 Exhaust Products:

"No motor vehicle shall be opperated in a manner resulting in the excape of excessive smoke, FLAME, gas, oil, or fuel residue."

My dad is a cop and I inquired about the legality of doing trays (the fast food trays under the back wheels of a fwd car with the ebrake on) and he couldnt find anything in the vehicle code book that you could get in trouble for. so I carry around a vehicle code book to give to a cop that pulls me over for doing them.

You and your dad should look up CVC 23103

(a) Any person who drives any vehicle upon a highway in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.

(b) Any person who drives any vehicle in any offstreet parking facility, as defined in subdivision (c) of Section 12500, in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.

(c) Persons convicted of the offense of reckless driving shall be punished by imprisonment in a county jail for not less than five days nor more than 90 days or by a fine of not less than one hundred forty-five dollars ($145) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment, except as provided in Section 23104.
