Default STEERING WHEEL LOCKED?!?

So i lost my key, bought a new ignition, but my steering wheel is still locked? is there anyways to get it unlocked or a way to break the lock? i am thinking about gettiing a new key made but if i can unlock it some how i would like to save some money,, thanks

put the key in and wiggle it around until you can move the key forward...thats how I did it in my saturn...dont know if it works on hondas

wait nevermind I didnt know you lost your key I read it wrong

we'll i bought a new ignition with a key that i installed , but the steering wheel is still locked , but now i have a key and a new ignition

so you installed the new ignitoin lock and you have the key to it? if thats the case put the key in and turn it you might have to jiggle the steering wheel.

u lost ur key..why didnt u just take ur vin to the dealer so they can cut u a new key instead of buying a new ingintion???this would of saved u alot more and less hassle

i know how to hot wire a civic buddy..
yah we all know how to take the screws off the back of the ignition..so yah just please dont bring stupid stuff to this forum, i have a problem with the steering wheel and im just asking a question..find something else to do

: i also tried the wiggle the steering wheel thing. i might just bring to vin in and just get the key made and sell the ignition i bought and make some money back.

i was asking if there was a way to get it unlocked without spending MORE money. yah my friend said something like turn the wheel really hard but i couldnt get it lol. i need some kinda steriod dude to do it.

Bro ur in Coral Springs.. Go to honda at the Automall and go to the parts dept. Giuve them your VIN and they can get a keycut for you. Shouldnt cost much since it doesnt need to be programmed.

Wow, you can realy get Honda keys cut? I bought my car with some cut cheap-o key.. Id love to get one that was actually meant for my car!.. Has anyone got this done? And does it look like the originals?

yeap..i've gotten it done before..usualy they dont give you a honda key ( key with HONDA on it)...just plain black key....they also ask for your drivers license too..

honda steering locks are supposed to be fairly weak, so just use a lot of force, or just enough to break the lock, problem solved or so I've heard lol

lol..the key's not all black...just plain regular key...instead of saying HONDA on it..its just plain..no HONDA..

If you go to the dealership you need to take your Title with you.

And it has to have your name, and your ID needs to match.

Just a FYI.

Thats all and good, but what if you don't own the car, the bank still does. So that means that the dealership isn't going to cut you a key. What if I showed them my insurance card with the vin and my id, that should be fine.
