No sound from speakers . . .
There's no sound coming from the speakers. The head unit is working fine, power is going to the head unit. There's just no sound coming from the speakers. Anyone know what the problem might be?
Car is a '97 Honda Prelude, BTW.

All 4 are silent? Maybe your hu's days are over, or maybe it's the acoustic feedback system box acting up. Just some random guesses...

First thing I need to know is is it the stock HU or aftermarket?
Also, if stock, does the AFBU not just control the rear speakers, [question is for Odessa]?

M&M?
If HU lights up and seems to be working, I would check that there is power on both the acc. lead, [red, probably is, as HU lights up] and constant power, [yellow, some HU will work but will have no output if there is no power on the constant lead, power for internal amp] on most Honda/Acura's the constant power is only a 7.5A fuse in under hood fuse box, [not sure where it is on a 97 Lude] do NOT replace the 7.5A with bigger fuse if it is blown, HU constant may need more current then stock constant in radio radio harness was designed to supply, instead run a fused 12ga lead from batt. to behind HU and connect HU constant, [yellow] to it, [just like wiring power for an "off-board" amp]
If power is not the problem, check for a short, [to ground] on any one of the 8 speaker leads, 4 pos.(+) and 4 neg.(-) leads, also check impedance of each speaker, [at HU harness] should be around 4 ohms.
