Motul 15W50 Synthetic is ok to use?
My R needs an oil change. Usually I put Mobil 1 5W30 Synthetic..
and I got 8 quarts of Motul 300V with 15W50 viscosity (not 30)..
Summer is coming, so there won't be Near Zero temperatures in my area..
would it be ok to use for Daily driving and AutoXing? is it too heavy?
any problem if later on I put back Mobil 1 5W30 Synthetic?
I am doing my research now..

I just threw in mobil 15W50 in my car, it seems to be fine. I put it in before a few track days I went to. My engine temp was a little high on the track, but I'm not sure if it's because of the oil or not.
I don't really have a opinion on it, I haven't noticed much difference. I know lots of Bimmer guys run it, but I don't hear of many hondas running it.

I use 5W30 because that's what Honda recommends.
Also - Your car is still under warranty. If anything happens, they could decline coverage of a repair under the warranty because you're using an oil viscosity that's not recommended.

well, as i posted on my earlier posts...
i had put mobil 1 15w50, and the car doesn't seem to have that "kick" in the pants feeling at vtec 5700+ rpm anymore. I am not *too* sure if its the oil, or if its the valve asjustment that I had done at the dealer along with the oil change. The car seems a lot smoother , and i don't hear the vtec as much. I usually use 5w30, year round, but i wanted to try this 15w50 for summer... but i think i am going to drain the 15w50 this weekend and stick to 5w30 or 10w30.....

It's OK for the track and summer use.
In Europe we use 10W40 or 5W40 because of the higher speeds (autobahn and such)

I run a 5-50 synthetic for track days, I don't leave it in very long though, just for the single event. It is expensive to do just for one event of use. I do notice the car has much worse mileage with the oil (cecuase it is a 5 hr drive to the track), and I am sure it loses a hp or two. But I think it offers good protection for hard track driving. Probably higher oil pressure too. I would not use it for daily driving though.
