dude never pay for something you are mroe than capable of doing. Now does your car already have a stock spoiler? if not then maybe you mihgt want and professional help. but even so drilling thru metal isnt hard you jsut gotta do it right.

but for the ITR spoiler. stock honda uses automotive studs. Home depot has them. they are jsut one big screw but without the bolt head or a screw head. so that you hand thread them on and poke them thru the holes in your trunk and then use some matcing nuts to scerw it down. I jsut ended up using some bolts of the same thread pattern and some washers.

to answer your question, a body shop will find some fasteners to secure it, but, if you already have a stock spoiler, you can put it on yourself, and use the same hardware.

Maybe they're bringing it to the shop cause they need it painted, and just want to have them throw it on while it's there?

I'd do it myself though...
