You get your tranny parts from your local dealer. But i would recommend getting them from http://www.barancoacuraparts.com and when you order in the comments section mention Honda-Tech. They are a sponsor and hook everyone up with a good price.

As for looking for a tranny try a junkyard. Also look in the regional classifieds thats on this site under the honda tech marketplace and you might get lucky.

1. I believe this all depends on the year of car. Also people do do hydro to cable swaps, so really anything is possiable. Why not open the hood of you car and look. At the front of the tranny you will either have a cable line running, or you will have a hydo line with a bleeder valve.
2. I dont know.
3. https://honda-tech.com/zeromain?id=6 also try the above link, or http://www.acuraparts247.com
4. http://hondamarketplace.com/ I have had bad luck at junk yards. I mean I found a tranny, but it was bad(would not shift), found another and it was in pretty bad shape(hard to shift, bad syncros). I would feel better buying parts and having a good trann shop do a full rebuild rather than going through all that crap again.

Not really. If you are good with crunching numbers, rumor has it you can count the number of revolutions you turn the shaft and how many turns the axle makes. Of course you need spare parts for this, and it probably would have been faster to pop the case. The only other way without opening it is to put it in and compare your MPH/RPMs to many of the charts you can find online.

92-93 YS1 = Honda's internal practical joke on us.
