New Job:
How's the pay for an Acura mechanic? I'll graduate w/ a biology major this summer and i need to find a job. But i hate biology and i want to work on cars... Do i need any certification, experience, etc? I do normal maintenance stuff (oil changes, tire rotations, etc) and can learn some more... TIA
Heh.. you're in luck. I just went into acura to apply for a lot porter. I inquired about being a mechanic and they said that you need to be certified by acura.. im guessing that means you gotta take their training school.
a lot porter is someone who does "odd jobs" around the dealership. Like parking customers cars, giving customers a ride to and from their workplace, delivering new cars to customers, etc. I know, b/c that's what I do at a BMW dealership...

I think that the porter is a good job for every honda junky to have once...but only once. You really are thier bitch...it sucks. But driving all the cars...detailing my own car...that was nice.
If you got the money, then this will be a real GOOD experience

I was thinking of applying here, but decided to get some basic training done first
They use S2000, ITR, etc etc etc as a training car. its even funny cause they go to the point of saying the b18c is a piece of **** cheap engine to work with.
