since last year during summer my car had this strange problem of hard starting during summer and the problem went away during colder fall and winter times.

and during this summer it's happening again and it's annoying. when i cant start the car it will throw code 16 which is an injector code problem and i always try to reset the ecu and try to start it again later , sometimes it works instantly sometimes it doesnt at all and need to wait as long as half an hour. do you guys think its an injector leaking problem?


will replacing the injector solve this problem entirely? has anyone ever experience this cause i think i have resetted the ecu for a zillion times whenever this happens and i am afraid i will fry the ecu.

pls help... its already 1/2 year i try to solve it but couldnt find anything.

i had this problem with my old motor, i had code 16 and code 1, i replaced the injectors and the o2 sensor. that fixed my problem, hope this helps.

 

and O2 sensor? whats a code 1?

where can i buy the O2 sensor from and how much?........

someone suggested the main relay but do you think that could be it? where can i get the relay from?

any more info pls? desperate need to cure this thing

 

code 1, its a long flash, are you sure its code 16 and not code 1? does it flash one long time then 6 fast ones? you can get an o2 sensor at any autoparts store, i got mine from Kragens, it was a Bosch universal for 35 bucks.

 

Might be the main relay. when you turn the key your suppose to hear a certain sound.

 

yea i do , if its the main relay why do i have a code 16 ? and perhaps a code 1 too?


btw whats the part number for the relay or at least what do you refer it as to the junkyard or erm honda dealer? it's my daily driver beater so i jsut want to get this fix ...

 

will it still be the main relay if i can crank the engine but just that it wouldnt start during hot?

or there will be no cranking sound at all only ticking sound if it is the relay?
