I am tring to change my rotor on my distruber and cant figure out how to take off the rotor?? I cant even move it??
Any help is greatly appreciated.

pull out the plugs and crank the car

anybody have any new info on this? my friend want's to change the cap and rotor but the rotor won't move.

 

the rotor is held on with one screw. mark the spot where the distributor sits, take the distributor off, you will see the rotor is held on with a phillip screw, unscrew the screw, the rotor slide right off, put the new rotor on, screw eveything back together, line the distributor back up with reference to the mark that you made.. thats all.
remember to disconnect your battery!!

 

The rotor only goes on one way.
If you can't get to the screw just turn the motor by turning the crank pulley.

 

You shouldn't need to take the whole distributor off, just remove the one screw
