Default Broken bolts.

Any suggestion of how to extract a broken strut and header bolt? What's the best way to take it out and what tool should I use?

If there are threads left on the stud then use two nuts and tighten them into each other at this point you can just srew out the stud using the nut closest to the block to turn it.

If it is broken in the head then it will have to be drilled and then use an easy-out to screw it out. You will want to center puch it first as the fastener is harder that the block and you do not want the drill to "walk" over into the block. If the stud is broken jagged like a mountain top then use a sander to make it flat before you center punch it. You might also want to consider getting some left handed drill bits as these will often remove it for you.

I have removed several using both methods and both work fine however, if you are uncomfortable with it you may want to take it to a machine shop and have them do it.....
