Def go for the AEM Cold Air Intake.. thats the first and only thing i have done to my car so far.. and it made soo much more of a difference than i thought it would.. it really boosts the power a lot.. I plan on getting Apexi WS exhaust and a nice suspension set up next ! Good luck with your car man.. its a ton of fun to drive one >

Whatever you want....Don't let other people tell you what you should do.

Now if it were ME, I would slap a turbo on it, first thing. But your average Integra Jo Shmo will probably go the I/H/E route, and some suspension stuff.

He just got a 99 GSR.. you think he has 4500 to blow on a turbo?? Money doesnt grow on trees.. and I/H/E are all things that most anyone can do themselves.. turbo is a lil more challenging.. Cut people some slack.. I'll turbo my car eventually.. but until then i want to have fun modding it.. whether i lose money in the process or not.. its fun to mess with cars, its not just the "raw power" we are goin for.. its the process and the experience as well.

Koni Yellow Suspension!! KONI YELLOW!! Then top and bottem strut bars and tie bars! Then a big brake kit! THEN 11 pound (or less) 15-16 inch wheels! (15x7.0 or 7.5)! I have NO clue what are good tires to get... lets work on handling. TaKeM In dA TwIsTyS Yo!! (Nah, suspension if you like to Autocross or if you want speed, AEM CAI, a nice 2.5inch catback exhaust of your choice, JDM DC 4-2-1 or 4-1 headers, High Flo Cat. are the basics)

Here is what you should do all in the order written here:

1.) Replace your shitty stock Michelin tires with something that performs and doesn't squeel like a pig.
2.)Springs and Shocks (Ground Controls and Koni Yellows or Bilstein HD, or another good choice would be Eibach Pro-Kit and Koni Yellows.
3.)ITR rear sway bar and BSQ Kit.
4.)OEM Body Kit
5.)Remove VTEC badge
6.)Start working on your motor. Decide if you are going to go all motor or FI and what you are going to use the car for will help you decide which route to take. At this point you start spending mass amounts of money and don't look back.
7.)Have Fun you just bought a great car!!!!

Good Luck,
Jon

Simple stuff first that everyone (everyone above at least) overlooks.

New:
Spark Plugs
oil change
fuel filter
etc.

Give that baby a tune up so it last 100K+ instead of just thinking of how you can make it faster. Unless it has 5,000 miles and I doubt that if it is a 99.

It's like giving a new puppy a bath first, then play with it, know what I mean? That way you don't have smelly dog syndrome.

Very good advice...then go for tires, CAI, etc.

Well, if you're planning on drag racing, take it to the track and learn what your car can do before you mod it enginewise. Whats the point of modding if you cant get the full potential out of the car?

First thing I did was get new tires! Then go with AEM intake or Comptech. The reason I did not lower my car is because I am a daily driver and have a lot of snow, and I figured all those frost heaves and unplowed roads around here would not be a good idea for a lowered car. If that is something you dont have to worry about then lower the car. good luck its an awesome car!

He might. I don't know, really. BTW, a turbo kit won't cost $4500 for a basic setup.

Money doesnt grow on trees..
Really??

and I/H/E are all things that most anyone can do themselves.. turbo is a lil more challenging..
True, but there is more than enough help on this board. I'm sure he could find someone in his area to help him out with it if he were to go that route.

Cut people some slack..
How am I not cutting slack?

I'll turbo my car eventually.. but until then i want to have fun modding it..
And turbo isn't fun?

its fun to mess with cars, its not just the "raw power" we are goin for..
Eh, speak for yourself. And again, turbo isn't fun?

And by the way, notice that I put the "ME" in bold and uppercase? That pretty much means that I'm not telling him to do it, but that's what I would personally do if I bought another integra.
Have a nice day.

Power this, power that.....BLAH!!
Honestly, the best mod that you will ever do and cheapest is going to be an ITR 22mm Rear Sway Bar! You'll need a good subframe reinformcement kit (Beaks/BSQ) but the total price will be around $120 at most. This will be one of the best mods you will ever do and I'm sure anyone else will agree with me that have done the mod.

It's a good mod! I recommend BSQ.

Dude, how'd you install your ITR sway bar? I've had my ITR bar for months now, but couldn't install because I don't have a drill. F**K!!!!!

Did you have it installed at a shop, or did you do it yourself?

EDIT: To contribute to this post-- I don't know where you live, but my very first mod was tinting. lol It's damn hot in Socal.

Seriously though, I'd consider working on the suspension first. Sooner or later, you'll want to mod it anyway. First tell us what you want to do with the car. Hardcore auto-x, drag races, track events, or just street?

I say get to know your car better. But that's just my opinion
After you learn the characteristics of the car with the new suspension and get used to it, you could work on the engine.

Suspension wise, I'd look into some springs/shocks combo or coilovers/shocks, then wheels and/or tires.
.

I got the 22mm sway bar, and it rocks. But my first mod was the AEM Cold Air Intake. Many comment on the water/hydrolock issues, but with stock height and the splash guard in place, there's really not much to worry about (I've driven mine through some pretty horrible rain, and no probs). It changes the sound dramatically at 5-6k, and gives decent power for the price.
