Searched-How to remove interior roof panel?
Here is my dilemma.

Bought the car a couple of months ago and love it so far, except for the ghetto mounted roof rack. Previous owner simply drilled THROUGH the roof and attatched the rack that way.
I want to remove it since I have no use for it. (If anyone wants it for whatever reason you can have it, I live in Maine, unless you want to pay shipping.) I do need to take the interior roof panel off in order to get to the nuts on the underside. I have looked at it and best plan of attatck looks to start with taking the sunshades off and working my way back. Anyone done this before easily?
I am also looking for good solutions that are DIY for the holes that will be left from the mounting holes.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is really not the proper thing to use but it works. We did it on the farm several times. You will need to remove the A & B pillar plastics to get the head liner out. ONce it is out and you remove the rack you will have hole in your roof (that sucks)
I have done this several times you can use JB Weld to fill the holes in then once it dries you can sand it down and paint it. It works so well and once you paint it no one will ever know. I know it sounds stupid but that works and it is sandable and paintable. We have done it on several tractors and even an old Dodge truck that is being restored.
Good luck. BTW nice car!

You sir, are ghetto! JB WELD hahah!
I shouldn't laugh, it's holding in (with some sealant) a block off plate for the auto shifter when the car was auto.
Although ghetto, it will work to JB weld it. Alot of people use it on there valve covers aswell. It holds heat, and is a great metal replacer.
