I was droped from progressive today because they said my car was a race car.

I've had Allstate for a very long time without and problems...
What did they mean by race car? Do you actually do wheel to wheel racing?

went from 1800 -> down to ~1000 w/ "engineer's discount" & pretty soon will go to 800 after I get a beater car

Allstate
My bill went up $20 a month last month with my new policy and i did not notice
until my mom called and said hers went up this month two
so she was going to drop them when she found another insurance company that would beat Allstate by $35 a month so she called to cancel and Allstate said they would match no problem?
What a rip off they bump up your bill and hope you wont notice like me

aaa, was 1300/yr but went up to 1900/yr after they paid out a $10k claim

State Farm here, under my parents policy (full coverage). Just went from $2,060 a year 
to $1,260

Hmm. That's about what I pay, but you're younger than me, aren't you? What cars?
1) '00 ITR - $0 comp, $250 coll, increased rent car
2) '83 Volvo - $0 comp, increased towing, additional electronics and media coverage
3) '76 Scout - $0 comp, increaesed towing
Liability is a bitch on those older cars

I have State Farm @ 23 years old and pay approxiamatly $130 a month. I have never had any problems with them, and hope I never do.
On a side note, my girl tryed to get them to insure her 94 civic hatchback and they wouldnt because she has a crappy driving record
