Did you see last months issue of motorcyclist? The next R1 is supposed to use some kind of variable intake runner/valve actuation technology.

I like the black/blue paint scheme.

 

you know what yamaha bikes need? more angles, more crazy tie die color schemes, and more disjointed design angles....to look worse.

i hate the design of these bikes...about 50 times way too complicated.

I love how both the '06 and the fake '07 look.
One's kinda organic-like and the latter's kinda robotic.

well I definately think that Fake pic of the 2007 R1 looks better than the 06.

It would however be nice to see black forks for once

edit i know the r6 has black forks...but not all the way up.

give the guy a break, the first picture is ugly. However it's obviously not a re-designed R1, since the swingarm and a few other things look exactly the same.

What is the real deal with the 07 R1? Is it going to be a restyling or freshening or updating of the current bike, or are we getting an all-new one?

That's definately true but then again I hoped to God the new R6's wouldn't look like they do

that fuel tank looks like it can hold about 2 gallons

I think the current R1 is beautiful. They just need a less-peaky engine to compete against the endless torque 1000's nowadays.
