2000 Si (100k miles)
This wierd issue has just sprung up over the last month or so. At first it was the passenger side. Now BOTH sides are doing it.

SOMETIMES when I hit the throttle while driving(from a stop or while moving) I will hear this click sound. SOUNDS EXACTLY like when you have a nail or rock in your tire EXCEPT its not that because its not a continous sound.(and ive checked my tires for stuff). Im just trying to give you guys somehting to wrap your head around as to how it sounds.

Someitmes when i come off the throttle the sound appears. Its a single click when it happens.
I thought it might be the clutch because at first it was only happening when i would go from a stop while engaging the clutch...but now it does it even when in gear. If I get on the throttle..itll click..then off..itll click, but only sometimes. NOT ALL THE TIME!

it DOES NOT HAPPEN when turning or anything like that. Only when going onto the throttle..or off. Its random sound.

any idea what it could be? This is completely new sound/issue ive never experienced.

 

Something in th axle maybe? Bearings in the hub or axle starting to wear.

 

my guess is that you have something on your suspension that is loose

 

Doesnt sound like bad cv joint so I would rule the axles out. Maybe something to do with clutch. Not really sure.
