Default any experiences with toyo T1Rs?

Hey guys, I just noticed a nice fat nail in one of my rear tires. And Im considering getting the toyo T1Rs.

Im currentlt on 215-45-16 azeni rt215s on stock wheels and prior to that I had SO3s in stock size. How do the T1Rs compare to those two? Since I now live in socal, wet performance is not a big issue, and snow in non-existant. Road noise is not a big issue either, my biggest concerns are dry grip and steering response with a stiff side wall. If anyone has any experience with them please share, or if you have any other recommendations share them as well (except for nittos please).

thanks, Peter

I have been running a set of T1R's for about 5k miles or so and i love them. They are awesome in the rain (i know, you said that didnt matter) but they are also very quiet in my opinion and they provide some very response steering feedback. I got 215/45/15s, but i kind of wish i had gotten 225/50/15 for the extra sidewall.

I cant compare them to either of those other two tires you mentioned because i have never driven on them, but i can say that i would recommend the T1R's

I am considering going with the T1R's. I like the fact that it is a 45 series thus decreasing the overall diameter from stock. This helps with acceleration, I think!!

Anyhow, what tires did you have previous to the T1R's? I have Dunlop SP 5000's and they suck in the rain.

Falkan Azeni RT615 are hard to beat for a great summer street tire. They grip good and don't cost that much.

I think they were old cooper cobras and they sucked in the rain too. Well, the sucked in all conditions, but especially in the rain. The difference was very very drastic when i switched to the new toyos

I've been using T1R's for over 30 K now, I got them a month after they hit the market last year and I love them. They grip tight, I mean TIGHT and there's little road noise. And they do have the slightly thicker sidewalls which is geared toward lower cars. They are just amazing =D

I've had for 10k and love them. They grip very nice and are not too loud. They also do a great job in the rain. I would recommend them to anyone!
