Most are like that, If your rolling or anything it wont go in, since its a direct gear or whatever, I'm not really sure the technical side of it. All i know is mine was too, never crapped out on me. But it wasnt hard to get out of reverse....
I hope buying a new transmisson is an option for you.
Once reverse is going out, your fucked. It wont get better. My reverse on my gsr swap went out, and we tried jamming it, gm syncromesh, everything. Just didnt work. Bought a new tranny. Sell your busted one for a good price.
If all else fails, rev it really high while jamming it into reverse. I hear this works.

well you should at least try some GM syncromesh, My reverse was a little rough to get in to but I switch to GM syncromesh and now its better, than before. so hurry and go get some before the problem is worst.
Reverse is hard to get into in any Honda (Most cars too, because its unsyncronized, so if the gears arn't lined up you need to force it in). In VW trannies there is a magnet underneath the reverse gear to catch all the metal that comes off it (theres alot) I am not sure if Honda trannies have this or not, but that should give you an idea of whats going on inside the transmission. Hard to get out is another story.
well, i was messin with it last night, and if the car is off, it goes into and out of reverse just fine, so i started it, and moved it, but after the car rolls thats when it got hard again.

If it goes into reverse fine when the car is off, something is wrong with your clutch. Try bleeding it.

they all do that...most of the time if you put it in neutral, lift off the clutch, then press it back in and it goes smoothly into reverse....you get used to doing it after time
