'93 Accord Control Arm Problem
I replaced my upper ball joint/upper control arm assembly and now it creaks badly. Noticed the front control arm bushing sleeve(gold colored) is not centered anymore. It has slid over to the arm itself and is rubbing against it, making noise. The rubber bushing is still there and in good shape. Is it possible they gave me the wrong part?
I know it would help if I could draw a picture of my problem, but imagine the fork of a slingsot with the rubber bushing between the forks. Now imagine the bushing sleeve has moved to the left fork and is rubbing against the fork; metal to metal. The bracket has 2 bolts and is not adjustable as far as I know. The rear sleeve is centered fine and have no problems. I was told there is no camber/caster adjustment on this model so the front end has not been aligned since installing it. Plus, I am going to replace the control arm/ball joint on the other side so I figured I'd wait til I was through. Any ideas?
