Default JDM headlights installed *PROBLEMS*HELP*

so i got my JDM one piece headlights installed yesterday and i've come across a problem....

the h4 high beam in the left headlight is very very dim, whereas the h4 high beam in the right headlight is exactly as bright as it needs to be

background:

my jdm headlights came w/ the japanese sockets, but the guy at maaco just connected the existing wires from the jdm socket into the USDM harness.... on the right side it worked fine it seems and on the left side it's not working the way it should

also, on the left side, when i turn high beams on, every single light turns off while the right side headlight is on and works fine

so HELP

my first step will be to go buy another H4 bulb and put that one in there to see if maybe it's the bulb

but, im thinking maaco wired one headlight right and the other one wrong

on the right headlight, a red&green wire plus a black wire are connecting to the wires from the jdm socket

on the left headlight, a red&yellow wire plus a black wire are connecting to the jdm socket wires

should they both be connecting to black and red&green?

i'm phuckin lost

FIRST MAACO SUCKS. dont go to them jeez they blow

you shoulda done ur self very simple and prolly woudlnt have ne problems. i dont remember the color of my wires when i did mine b/c there all wrapped as one now but you should def not have each headlight wired with diff color wires lol so just wire the left side like the right and be done with it

i also thought they were wired wrong but mine are wired the same way yours are
passenger side has the red/green and the drivers side has the red/yellow.
there;s only one way to do it anyway
the stock 9004 socket only has two wires coming in cause it's only a single filament bulb
see if there's a short in the high beam on the left side.

i just thought of this
make sure the wires are going to the right place on the socket.
the top is ground and the right side (looking at the "in" side) is for power.
the other side is for the high beam filament

that dumbass didn't test the wires for power and got a few mixed around. Do it your self and get a power wire tester, its a screw driver looking thing with a long wire that has a clamp on the end to connect to a ground. Turn the lights on and atouch the tester to the wires, if the tester lights up thats the power wires.

So everything appears to be wired correctly and I am still at a loss

At work now, will post pics of exactly how they are wired tonight or tomorrow

also another thing i didn't think of -- i need to make sure the idiots put the right bulbs in

bulbs have different socketing... you shouldn't be able to fit n h4 into an h1 slot.... but.. double check I guess. Could be a bad bulb...

got one side working and the other not

but anywho.... here are some pics... they appear to be consistent when comparing right side to left side.... i guess it MAY BE the bulb afterall... will know for sure tomorrow when i put $20 down on another H4
