Default problems with my d16z6 in my rex.

ok so i had a d16z6 already in my car.. i was running it with the stock si ecu but with a spoon vtec controller. so my motor blew and i swapped it out. and i checked all grounds and connections. and when i try to turn it on the CEL blinks very fast llike a hyper blinker. and the starter just hits but doesnt turn.. after afew consecutive trys its finally turns the motor but never fires up.. BTW i am using the EG clutch/ flywheel/ pressure plate. with the crx Si trans. where did i fo ck up.. was it in the whole clutch set up??

you have a ground loose somewhere or not connected at all, recheck your grounds

Yeah, that sounds like a ground to me, too.

Check the thermostat ground, valve cover ground, transmission ground, and negative to chassis ground. I put a new ground on my car without attaching it to the chassis as well as the transmission and the car wouldn't do much more than what you're describing. Took me a few days and some serious frustration to figure out. It was actually having another set of eyes while looking at my woman's '90 DX that pointed it out to me.

And yeah, you're fine with that set up. I'm running the same thing on my swap.
