Reflash - Denied at Dealership?!?
I just got off the phone with the dealership, and was told that with my vin there is no update. I have the DBW "hang" and cold start "chug".... The dealership says they will not update/install software into vehicles that aren't within a certain VIN group. Anybody else run into this at the stealership?
Well my vin falls in the range that someone posted and i went to my local dealership and they straight up told me that, "it's supposed to hang" and i simply said so, "Honda made an update for something that's supposed to happen, they made an update for no reason?!?!" The idiots had no response besides, "well maybe you can convince another dealership to do this but you don't need it." So I'm still looking for a dealership in Oklahoma and i guess if i must break down I'll go to Dallas/ftw area.
My local stealership didn't know such a thing was available either.
Sure enough, I provided them with the numbers they needed, and I'm scheduled for next Thursday at 7 AM for the reflash.
Good luck,
- Derek

Ill raise Hell if my dealership pulls that ****, I really didnt know what the hell everyone was talking about. I always knew that there was a bit of a hesitation but i never passed any remarks. So i will bring it up with them when i leave my car in next weekend to get serviced.
so today i had my dealership ( the one i work at) take my Si and do the update for the rev hang and 1st gear, and my vin is IN the range of what Honda posted on the TSB, but they said i already had the most recent version of HDS loaded to my car.... anyone know whats goin on?
First off bring all the documentation you can of the reflash being official
~the TSB (this has the codes they need to put in)
~the honda news buliten
Second, if your dealership refuses to honor the warrenty tell them your next trip is to your court house to talk to the attorney general to report fraudulent warrenty.

Complaining paid off for me I told the guy that sold me the car, and he got the service dept. to go ahead and fix the problem scheduled for next week, bout time someone listened to me... I hope the reflash works on my car as it has for everyone else, but i see no reason that it won't since my vin number is in the range.
They had to look it up for me, they had no clue about it. They know me at the dealership and know I know what I'm talking about most other people would get told theres nothing sorry.
