Default replacing inner tie rod in a 96 civic

do i have to take out the steering rack to replace the inner tie rods?

no. just turn each side out to extend it the furthest you need it. Get new boots while youre at it unless youre confident you can save the old ones.

oh yes, turn the steering...didn't think about that. i will replace the boots...
