well in my last thread I was asking how much you would pay for the bike and what not, thinking the damage was on the plastics and casing.

Well I ended up going to look at it, and the bike was perfect. The clutch cover was scratched on the bottom a little, and a sticker was scratched hardly noticably. I never thought the kid would let this bike go for under 6k because it is a new bike pretty much, 630 miles on it . I was worried at first throwing out my price that he would tell me to expletive off and go home, but I told him I had 4500 cash and would take the bike home that day, he accepted. I couldnt believe it, he seemed really upset because he told me he is in over his head with debt. When he went inside my buddy I took with me started freaking out and told me he was going to outbid me, but thank god he didn't.

I rode the bike last ngiht for an hour or two and it is a night and day difference from the gixxer, The front end is so light on it and this bike goes down in turns like its nothing. Overall I am really happy with it and cant wait to track this thing

DAMN, that's a hell of a deal! I just got my F4i that had been dropped with 11K miles for 4700. I am really really jealous!

 

I paid 5500 for my gixxer with 8k on it, I still cant believe I have this bike

haha thanks everyone, I couldnt believe it either i'm still in shock over that deal. But Im having trouble deciding what to do with it, I could flip the bike and make decent profit on it doing nothing. I really like my gixxer but its an 03 with 9000 miles on it, and I just feel if I keep it Im going to end up losing on it.

its going to be a long time before you lose on it, i would just ride it.

 

You can just gimme your Suzuki so you can feel better about the R6 deal

don't turn that into a track bike. If you want a track bike sell it and get something already beat up. I would ride that for 2 yrs, and sell it for what you paid or more.

Keep the r6, replace the stator cover ($100) ride it for a few years and sell it for what you paid for it...thats a ridiculous deal. The r6 was the best bike i ever owned, I wish I had kept it.

 

It isnt going to be a track bike, Im taking the gixxer and r6 to the track before this season is over. Then decide which I like better on the track. I will then sell the gixxer and buy a track ready r6/gixxer depending on which one I like better on the track, and use the 05 r6 as my street bike.

my personal favorite is red, but damn that's a sexy bike. r6's are my favorite.
