today i went to a smog check station and i failed because of emmisions the guy told me just to bolt on a catalyt converter after the first one and i shoul pass but he said it would run me 300 does any one think i can get one from ebay and still pass

 

Go to any muffeler shop, the universal cats normally run $100.00-150.00. That guy is trying to rip you off, shop around. Don't do business with that dillhoe anymore, he's trying to come up on you(probably had a slow day).
