JDM HOOD WON'T CLOSE PROPERLY ON EF HATCH!!!!!!

Default JDM HOOD WON'T CLOSE PROPERLY ON EF HATCH!!!!!!

i searched the threads couldnt find anything???


heres my problem i just recently put a jdm front end on my ef hatch and the hood doesnt close properly its lifted atleast 2 inches when shut i tried shimming the latch on the radiator support and i used the jdm radiator latch
if anyone has any knowledge on this id rely appreciate your help??????

take the latch off the hood and drill the holes bigger towards the firewall so you can slide the latch back and it should work

Here's some pics I had laying around. Notice the red bulkhead is for demo-purposes

Space it out. Once you have figured out the proper distance you can have spacers cut at a machine shop.

Result.

The principle is the same on the hatch...except for the bumper ofcourse.

It's normal to have minor gap in between the JDM hood and the JDM filler peice/bumper, there was an air intake there. But 2 inches, something is out of allignment. Shim that stuff properly.

Same thing happened to me. When I got my front end I had about a 2 or 3 inch gap (Sorry before pic is kind of hard to see). I don't know if it's like yours, but I put my hood on the ground (standing up) with the emblem part down and I put all my weight on the hood to push the emblem part in. End result... No gaps,no spacers, just a little elbow grease.
